Morning weight: 156 lbs. *shockers*
Actually got up earlier today, strangely enough. I wonder what’s wrong with me? Am I sick? I don’t remember waking up on a weekday and not feeling like killing my alarm clock...slowly. But yah, waking up today, I actually felt...ugh...I shudder at the word...I felt *perky*.
After finding out from Mike that we can trade the foods that we absolutely hate, I discarded my idea of just eating brownies and cheese puffs and decided to systematically try out all the different meals that I ordered so that I can trade the heinous ones as quickly as possible. I was on a mission!
First up, Medifast hot chocolate. Wow. Also decent. I’m beginning to think that chocolate substitutes and caffeinated copy beverages are the things that Medifast can make a decent meal out of. Anyway, I’ve decided that I like heating mine up for two minutes instead of one. The down side--I have to stop heating in the middle to due to extreme foamage.
I broke down for my snack and had Medifast Parmesan cheese puffs instead of the crunch bar I had planned. It’s cheese puffs and I’m an addict.
Lunch was the Medifast cream of broccoli. Also quite decent. In fact, someone even commented at the lunch room on how nice my soup smelled. HA!
I had the Medifast Lemon Meringue for my afternoon snack. Not bad. Still dry, but the flavor is there, so I just have to drink a lot of water with it. Which is good, as it encourages me to drink more water. Perhaps that was their plan when they made these soo dry.
Since I was feeling pretty good today, I didn’t begrudge making the dinner for me and James. Yes, I don’t usually make our dinners. He refuses to eat my spicy food! But today, since it was a Medifast friendly meal, I was able to make us our Lean and Green meal for dinner.
Lean and Green meal: Basil and Lime salmon atop a bed of salad. I found the recipe online. They had it under shrimp, but the actual recipe says "fish." So, I figured, why not try it with salmon.
For later, I decided to try the Medifast fruit punch. A bit better in flavor than the iced tea or the mango cranberry. But still has enough chalky taste for me to drink it as fast as I can.
