It Can Be a Slippery Slope

Morning weight: 155 lbs

*gasps*  Where did those 0.5 extra pounds come from?  I didn't think it was that bad last night.  Okay, so maybe that beef kabob is more than the mere 5-7ounces that is recommended by the diet.  Still, this scale is going in the wrong direction.  Okay, maybe I'm panicking for nothing.  My weight can fluctuate a LOT between days.  Even within a day.  I'm worrying for nothing.

Of course, today's routine was anything than the normal 5 and 1 regimen.  Oh it started out simply enough.  I knew I had lunch plans with friends, so I attempted to schedule my five snacks around the time I thought we were going to eat.  Except...I remembered...last night I had told Jane I was going to try and make dinner.  She was having some old neighbors of hers for dinner and had wanted me to meet them.  I don't want to cancel lunch with friends--that appointment had been set for over two weeks.  But, I also wanted to meet Jane's friends.  She's a pretty sharp lady when it comes judging character, and she thinks Kim and I would get along real well.

So...here's my plan.

7AM - Peanut butter crunch bar.
9:30AM - half of my nacho chilli cheese puffs
11:30AM - Lunch at China Express, ordering a vegetable dish and eating the veggies. This would be my "green" meal.  I'd order the sauteed cabbage to replace the rice and pick on the vegetables that are considered lower in carb.  What does that mean?  I won't eat the carrots.
1:30PM - the other half of my nacho chilli cheese puffs
3:30PM - Lemon meringue crunch bar.
6:30PM  - Beef patty. The lean part of my meal
9:30PM - Fruit punch.

Is that cheating?  Instead of eating six times, I split it into seven.  But because I wasn't sure of the calorie intake from sauced vegetables in the Chinese restaurant or the beef patty, I reduced the number of Medifast snacks from five to four.  Hrm...

So, I pretty much followed the above schedule...except for the fact that the eating times varied a little.  We didn't get to eat lunch until more around 12:30PM and I didn't get to eat dinner until around after 7:30PM.

As for my review of the peanut butter crunch...I feel like I've reviewed it already.  Taste--good.  Dry--yes.  Just like all the other crunch bars.  *sighs*
