The day started off...in a tizzy. I'd forgotten that Jane and I were supposed to go the the bridal boutique so she could check out the wedding dress again and compare the ribbons she has picked out for the wedding flowers. Jane called when she was on her way over to pick me up (thank God since that's what woke me up!) and I had just enough time to feed the dogs and get dressed--and have a lemon meringue crunch bar.
After the dress look-see, Jane and I went for coffee and I had...coffee. No cream, no sugar. What has the world come into? At least I had my caffeine in the morning this time. I had tea last night (again, sadly no sugar) and I think it was what kept me from being able to sleep when my head hit the pillow. When they say caffeine really affects you in this diet, they weren't kidding.
By the time I got home, it was just in time for me to have another snack--a lemon meringue crunch bar. I also decided to make a lemon chicken slow cooker recipe that is purportedly Medifast-friendly. Here's the recipe. It turned out a little dry--most likely a result of my mediocre cooking, but it sure smelled good.
Around this time, I also had the satisfaction of initiating the returns of some of the less than stellar Medifast recipes. And what did I replace them with? Cheese puffs and brownies and I figured I'd try the beef stew.
The last two Medifast snacks I had were the Brownies (love 'em) and the Medifast S'mores crunch bar. This tasted the best, I think, out of all the crunch bars I've tried. It still leaves your mouth dry, but the taste makes up for it. Oh, and I also decided to have a quarter of a dill pickle :) I needed something to tide me over while I can smell the chicken cooking in the slow cooker.
